Cancellation

Both parties have the right to cancel or reschedule within 7 days of the job start date.

Within 3 days of the job start date, client may request that the job be rescheduled (to within 60 days of the original start date, Sorted By Rachel’s schedule permitting). Cancellations of rescheduled jobs will not be eligible for refund.

A cancellation within 3 days of the job start date means the deposit paid will be non-refundable.

Any non-cancellable expenditure or charges (such as storage solutions purchased on your behalf) or other expenses paid in advance by Sorted By Rachel that are non-refundable will be invoiced to you upon cancellation.

Insurance

I carry comprehensive Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance for my services. While I handle your belongings with utmost care, accidents can happen. Therefore, I am not liable for any damage or loss and recommend that you maintain appropriate and up-to-date insurance policies to cover any potential compensation.

Hours of Work

You will be billed for the actual hours worked. Although we will usually schedule a set number of hours, it is understood that the exact time required may vary.

Breaks and Refreshments

If a session includes lunchtime, I will bring my own lunch, and you will not be billed for the lunch break. We will take occasional short breaks for hydration and pacing, and these breaks are included in the session time.

Limits of Work

I am committed to helping you achieve your desired level of organisation. I am willing to assist with light cleaning and relocating items within your home. However, I do not undertake heavy lifting or moving of large items of furniture, such as refrigerators and heavy cabinets.

Should the working area be considered unsafe, Sorted By Rachel reserves the right to cancel without refund.

Removal of Items

Decisions regarding the removal of items from your premises for sale, disposal, recycling or donation are entirely at your discretion. No items will be disposed of without your explicit authorisation.

Sorted By Rachel does not dispose, recycle or sell items on your behalf but can remove certain items for charitable donation by mutual agreement. We can help recommend services and methods of disposal and recycling, should you need them.

Best Advice

Advice is provided in good faith, and it is ultimately your decision whether to follow guidance on keeping or disposing of items. Sorted By Rachel is not responsible for the consequences of these decisions. While we strive to identify items of potential high market value, you acknowledge that Sorted By Rachel is not a professional valuer and do not have the expertise to appraise items of special value or rarity for insurance purposes.

Product Recommendations & Storage Solutions

Sorted By Rachel may make suggestions on additional products and services by third parties. Although we always try to ensure we recommend high quality products and services we are unable to accept any responsibility or liability should the products or services cause you direct or consequential loss or damage.

Sorted By Rachel can source storage solutions and organisation products for you, with your approval. Products will be charged to you at their retail price. Please note that returns will not be possible after the organisation session or if the organisation session has been delayed and we have been storing products on your behalf past the return window. We cannot return products that require assembly once they are assembled, and we will therefore not be able to reimburse you.

Sorted By Rachel will be happy to assemble small organisation/storage items. We do not assemble furniture.  Please note that assembled products cannot be returned or refunded.

Photography

Sorted By Rachel might use before and after photographs. These photographs are the property of Sorted By Rachel.

Sorted By Rachel might use these photographs as example of our work, on our website and on social media platforms. Photographs are always anonymised; the client cannot be identified through them, except if we have received your explicit permission to do so.

Payment Terms

Services are billed on an hourly, half day and full day basis, per the pricing listed on sortedbyrachel.com. A deposit invoice will be issued upon booking, with a balance invoice to follow upon completion of the job, payable by direct BACS transfer using the bank details provided on the invoice.

Payments are due upon receipt of the invoice. Interest of 5% per month will be charged on any overdue balance unpaid 14 days after the invoice date, together with any compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment legislation.

Sorted By Rachel reserves the right to increase its rates at any time. Any sessions booked prior to a rate increase will be unaffected by the increase.
